Alien: Earth’ Season 2 Casts Peter Dinklage as Series Regular

I’m hearing some great news about the Alien: Earth series! Even though Noah Hawley is gearing up for a new movie, work on season two is definitely moving forward. This show was a real milestone for the franchise – the first live-action TV series and, interestingly, the first story completely set on Earth, ditching the spaceship setting we’re used to. Luckily, audiences and critics seemed to enjoy it enough to earn a renewal, and now the cast is getting even stronger with a fantastic new addition. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take the story next!

Peter Dinklage, famous for playing Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, is joining the second season of Alien: Earth, according to a new report from Deadline. He’s previously appeared in supporting roles on TV shows like Nip/Tuck (2003) and the more recent The Lowdown starring Ethan Hawke – both on FX. Details about his character in Alien: Earth are currently being kept secret.

Peter Dinklage is joining Sydney Chandler, who starred as the robot Wendy in Season 1. The first season centered on Wendy’s transformation into a new type of human and her mysterious link to the alien creature.

The series Alien: Earth really leaned into its Earth-based setting, showcasing how powerful corporations control almost everything. Considering corporate greed is a central theme, it would be compelling to see Peter Dinklage play a significant role within one of these companies, like the well-known Weyland-Yutani or Prodigy. However, since we already know a lot about those two from the first season, it’s likely he’ll be connected to one of the less-explored companies mentioned in the show, such as Lynch, Dynamic, or Threshold.

What really made Alien: Earth stand out was the amazing acting, whether it was from the actors playing humans, robots, or those in between. The first season focused more on the story’s intriguing setup than the aliens themselves, but the season finale hinted at more action to come. With Peter Dinklage joining the cast, and the show’s creator, Noah Hawley, known for keeping things under wraps, season two is shaping up to be a thrilling watch. Production starts in May at Pinewood Studios in London – a location famous for previous Alien films – meaning we might see the new season as early as 2027.
