Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, surprised She-Hulk fans with two unexpected announcements about what’s next for Jennifer Walters.
She-Hulk Season 2 chances revealed by Brad Winderbaum
Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Studios, would like to create additional seasons of the show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, starring Tatiana Maslany, but isn’t certain if it will happen. He shared his excitement for the series on The Escape Pod podcast, saying he’d “love to have the opportunity” to continue it.
Winderbaum also disputed claims that She-Hulk didn’t do well, stating it was actually a strong performer for Marvel. He explained that while some hardcore fans online criticized the show, it resonated with a broad audience. “That’s one of our best performing shows,” he said.
As a huge cinema fan, I was really intrigued by what Winderbaum shared. It seems there was a big difference between what people were saying online about the series and how many people were actually watching it. Online, it was being written off as a flop, but he pointed out it really connected with general audiences – something the online chatter just didn’t show. Honestly, even the hosts, who are fans of the show themselves, were shocked to hear that!
Winderbaum confirmed that continuing She-Hulk is currently impossible due to creative restrictions. While he expressed a desire to create more content in the future, he indicated it won’t be happening right now, though he didn’t completely dismiss the possibility, adding, “Hopefully one day.”
As a critic, I’ve been following the buzz around Marvel’s ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,’ starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, and it sounds like the show isn’t quite finished yet. Marvel’s Kevin Feige, in a recent interview, strongly hinted that despite the somewhat divided reaction it got when it first streamed on Disney+, ‘She-Hulk’ still has potential and could be back for more. It’s encouraging to hear they’re not writing it off despite the initial mixed response.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Season 1 is now streaming on Disney+.
