A retired Air Force general involved in studying UFOs has gone missing. However, a 911 call from his wife indicated he may have deliberately disappeared.
William McCasland was last seen leaving his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 27th and is now considered a missing person.
Richard McCasland previously headed the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. This base is famously rumored to house remains and objects recovered from the 1947 Roswell incident, and is widely believed to be a center for government investigations into UFOs.
According to reports, McCasland left behind his phone, glasses, and any wearable technology, as well as his vehicles, before changing clothes and leaving his home.
Wife says husband’s actions “seemed kind of deliberate”
Okay, so my wife, Susan, called 911 about three hours after I left the house. She told them I was missing, but it wasn’t like a random thing – she said she had a feeling I’d actually planned to disappear. It was pretty freaky, honestly.

Susan added that William was dealing with health problems and had consulted a doctor about recent memory loss, trouble sleeping, and feelings of anxiety. She also mentioned he’d been experiencing a kind of mental confusion before he went missing.
