Metro Quester and Osaka are launching on Steam via Kemco, self-published Quester games being delisted

Kemco and Thousand Games are updating the names of their Steam games. The current versions, Quester and Quester | Osaka, will be removed and replaced with Metro Quester and Metro Quester | Osaka. This change will make the Steam titles consistent with the names used on console and mobile platforms.

The indie RPGs Quester and Quester | Osaka, which combine dungeon exploration with fast-paced combat, are currently on Steam. However, they’ll be removed from sale in late April. Kemco will then release updated versions, adding “Metro” to the game titles. You can add Metro Quester and Metro Quester | Osaka to your Steam wishlist now. Thousand Games has announced they’re planning some kind of offer or discount for existing owners of the original games, and more details will be shared on Steam soon.

Metro Quester and Quester | Osaka are available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices (iOS and Android). Quester | Osaka is also available on PC, but both versions will soon be removed from sale and replaced with a newer version.

The translation of Thousand Games’ announcement is below:

The Quester games currently available on Steam will no longer be published under that name after late April. Kemco will then take over publishing them as the Metro Quester series.

We’re also getting things ready for future growth with some helpful planning and discussions.

More details will be published in Steam Community and others in coming days.
