A video circulating online seems to depict Alan Ritchson, the actor known for playing Reacher, involved in a physical altercation with a neighbor while his children were present, reportedly in a Tennessee neighborhood.
The actor is famous for playing Jack Reacher, the tough and imposing hero, in the popular Prime Video series. The fourth season of Reacher is scheduled to premiere in 2026 and will be based on the novel ‘Gone Tomorrow.’ The story follows Reacher as he investigates a puzzling case after stopping a possible suicide bomber on a train heading to New York City.
He recently appeared in the Netflix film War Machine, a story about a soldier battling an alien, and it quickly became one of the platform’s most popular movies.
Despite portraying a mindful and spiritual image online through his Instachurch livestreams, actor Alan Ritchson is facing criticism after a video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting someone on the street. The incident reportedly happened in front of his two children.
Neighbor claims Alan Ritchson started the fight after motorbike noise complaint
The video seems to depict Ritchson punching a man repeatedly while his green Kawasaki motorcycle blocks the street. His two children were also riding bikes nearby during the incident.
According to Ronnie Taylor, who says he’s the person seen in the video, the incident began on Saturday afternoon when actor Joe Ritchson was riding his motorcycle and repeatedly sped up the engine. Taylor admitted to yelling at Ritchson, who then flipped him off.
Taylor said that on Sunday, the actor came back with his sons on bicycles and demanded, “Can you please stop this?” That’s when the altercation began. Taylor claims the actor then hit him four times in the back of the head, causing bruises and swelling, which are visible in the video.
I’ve been following the situation with Ritchson, and it’s a bit strange – he hasn’t said anything about it online yet. Actually, his latest Instagram post was pretty odd. He was in bed, singing about how he’s using sleep aids like melatonin, Ativan, and Xanax because of jet lag. And then, he made this joking threat to “attack” everyone, which feels… off, considering everything. It’s just a weird combination of things, and I’m hoping he’s okay.

He announced in his post that he’d finally overcome jet lag after arriving in Australia, and was excited to perform at Disney and enjoy some (potentially dangerous!) cocktails.
As expected, people immediately asked if the celebrity had addressed the rumored altercation after a video surfaced on TMZ. One commenter wrote, “Did anyone else see that TMZ video?” Another responded, “That video isn’t going to make things any better.”
Someone else commented that after watching the video, there’s absolutely no justification for violence, especially when children are present. However, others suggested the short video clip from TMZ might not tell the whole story, and that Alan may have been defending himself and his children from an aggressive neighbor.
TMZ says police are looking into what happened, but so far, no one has been arrested.
