New PS5 Pro model leaked. According to an insider, Sony is betting on one thing

Sony is reportedly working on an updated PlayStation 5 Pro. A model number, CFI-7121, has surfaced, and sources suggest it could be available later this year. Details about which countries will receive the new console and exactly what improvements it will offer are still unknown (according to Dealabs Magazine).

Sony has a new version of the PS5 Pro in hands

Details about the CFI-7100 PlayStation 5 model surfaced in June. Since then, reports from Japan have suggested a launch between September and November, though it wasn’t clear which countries would get it first. Additionally, leaker billbil-kun has hinted at another potential version of the PS5 Pro.

The CFI-7121, a new PlayStation 5 Pro model, is expected to be released in Europe soon. Details are scarce, but reliable leaker billbil-kun reports it will likely retain the 2 TB SSD. This is noteworthy because the recently released PS5 Slim has a smaller storage capacity – reduced from 1 TB to 825 GB.

So, from what I’ve heard, the biggest changes with the new PS5 Pro seem to be around how much power it uses. Sony’s probably aiming for a more energy-efficient console, which is awesome, but we’ll have to wait and see exactly how they’ve done it. They’re saying it’s coming out soon, but honestly, we don’t have a firm release date or know which countries will get it first yet.

Details about this new device are much less clear than what we knew about the PS5 Slim before its release. We had a good idea of when and where the Slim would be available, but right now, information is limited. It seems Sony is looking to reduce costs, something they hinted at in their May financial report.
