Square Enix recently revealed more details and images for the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, focusing on a brand-new underwater area added to the updated version of Dragon Quest II. This new content was first hinted at in a trailer released earlier this week.

The remastered Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be available starting October 30th on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

While exploring, the hero and his friends meet two mermaids and discover that Hargon’s forces are causing trouble deep underwater. They must defend the mermaids from these evil creatures and bring calm back to the ocean!
