In the game Where Winds Meet, Oddities are unique collectibles found all over the world. These hidden treasures are located in ruins, buried underground, or in hard-to-reach places. Collecting them all is a key goal for players who want to fully explore every region of the game.
Collecting oddities rewards you with coins and experience points, offering a useful break or optional task while you’re completing quests. In the Hexi region, specifically Jade Gate Pass, you’ll find three different kinds of oddities to discover.
Udumbara Flower Oddity Locations
The Udumbara Flower is a rare, glowing purple bloom that appears in unusual places – on sand, the sides of old buildings or ruins, and even on trees with golden leaves. When you find one, you’ll be presented with a small challenge to determine if it’s genuine or not, triggered as you get closer.
Watch for the flower’s bright, golden, vine-like growths and listen for a low, rumbling sound that gets louder as you approach. You can find 15 Udumbara Flowers in the Jade Gate Pass region of Hexi.
Shadowfin Oddity Locations
You can find Shadowfins hidden in the sand. Look for broken stone pieces, a faint golden trail, and a glowing purple-blue creature to know you’ve discovered one. The Shadowfin will swim around the broken stone, and when you get close, you’ll be prompted to press ‘G’ to fix it.
As the Shadowfin gets close to the stone, press ‘G’ to use your Tai Chi and fix it just before the Shadowfin touches it. This will make the Shadowfin crash into the rock, allowing you to collect the oddity. You can find a total of 16 Shadowfin oddities in the Jade Gate Pass area of Hexi.
Keep an eye out for Shadowfins in the sand and especially around the Milky Way path.
Apsara Hare Oddity Locations
The Apsara Hare is one of the most adorable creatures you can find near the Jade Gate Pass. This magical rabbit floats above buildings and old ruins while playing a sweet melody on a small guitar-like instrument. If you get close, it quickly hops away, so you’ll need to chase it to collect it!
As the hare speeds away, shimmering green rings will trail behind it. Jump into these rings to launch yourself upwards, following the hare. You can find a total of 16 of these magical hare trails – called Apsara Hare oddities – in the Jade Gate Pass area of Hexi.
Follow the sound of the hare’s music to find it floating up off the ground.
