Skeet Ulrich, who appeared in the movie Five Nights at Freddy’s, hinted at some big news about the upcoming third film, Five Nights at Freddy’s 3.
The ending of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 left many fans frustrated and eager for news about a third game. Some worried the sequel’s negative reviews might mean there wouldn’t be another installment, but it looks like those concerns might be unfounded.
At Monster-Mania Con, actor Ulrich, known for playing Henry Emily in the second Five Nights at Freddy’s film, shared that a third movie is in the very early stages of production. He mentioned he can’t share many specifics about Five Nights at Freddy’s 3, but he understands that the script is currently being written, and new writers have recently joined the project.
As far as I know, the third installment is still in development, and it’s hard to say what it will be like. There’s talk of featuring Henry Emily and William Afton, but the writers were just brought on board, so it’s too soon to know for sure.
Okay, so I’m hearing some hopeful things from Ulrich, but let’s pump the brakes a little. As of right now, nothing is official. The actor is being pretty tight-lipped, which makes me wonder if Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is actually going to happen. Now, Emma Tammi, who directed the first two films, did mention to ScreenRant back in December that they were talking about another movie, but she stressed it was just preliminary – a casual conversation, nothing concrete yet. So, while there’s a glimmer of hope, don’t start planning your trip to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza just yet!
The movie Five Nights at Freddy’s is based on the well-known video game series of the same name. It centers on Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson), a security guard who discovers that the animatronic characters are haunted by the spirits of children murdered by the serial killer William Afton (Matthew Lillard). Elizabeth Lail plays Vanessa, and Piper Rubio stars as Mike’s little sister, Abby.
You can now watch Five Nights at Freddy’s on Peacock. The sequel, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, will be added to the streaming service on April 3, 2026.
