The Shinra Archaeology Department reports that their Archaeology Cut is now working perfectly with the latest version of Final Fantasy VII on Steam and GOG.
The updated version of Final Fantasy VII came out on Steam and GOG last month. It now works with the 7th Heaven mod manager, which also supports the Shinra Archaeology Cut mod – a popular addition that restores optional content and includes a new translation. The updated version of Final Fantasy VII now includes features like a 3x speed mode, the option to skip battles, autosaving, and improved battle mechanics. The original Steam version has been renamed to Final Fantasy VII – 2013 Edition and is no longer available for purchase. If you previously owned the original on Steam, the new version should automatically appear in your game library.
You can now play Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, as well as on iPhones, Android phones, and computers.
