Resident Evil Requiem features a variety of puzzles, like gathering body parts to revive a corpse or entering codes in the right sequence. However, you don’t actually need to solve all of them to progress.

You can find an optional puzzle and hidden surprise called the STARS office case. After reaching the Raccoon City Police Department, look for it in the back room of the STARS office.

This puzzle is tough with so few clues! Here’s how to open the STARS office case in Resident Evil Requiem.

STARS Office Case Location

Need help finding the STARS office in Resident Evil 2, or just a refresher on the police station layout? Here’s how to get there: begin by heading into the West Office as you normally would.

Exit the office, then walk down the hallway. Defeat the single zombie you find there, turn left, and enter the Reception Office. Inside, shoot the ladder to reach the second floor.

Once you’re at the top of the ladder, head straight down the hallway. Follow it to the end, and you’ll find a door marked STARS. That’s the STARS office, and the case you’re looking for is in the back room, near the lockers.

Now that you’ve located the case, here’s how to get the three-letter code you need to open it. Begin by examining the notepad on the desk in the STARS office.

Barry left a list of things to do. The most important task is locating the missing library book – we need it to get the code.

The list indicates the captain was the last person to review it. Now, head to Captain Redfield’s office. Once there, examine the photo of the STARS team members located in the back of the room.

Leon will give you a voice instruction. After that, open the desk drawer and wait briefly. A piece of paper will appear – examine it to discover the book’s title: The Medicinal Benefit of Herbs.

Go down the hall and turn left after you pass the room with the statue to reach the library. Once inside, go up the stairs and turn left when you see the tipped-over bookcase. Don’t forget to check out the raccoon statue if you haven’t already!

You’ll see a bookshelf with a book on it. When you examine the book, open it to reveal a photo of Rebecca. Take the photo, and when you flip it over, you’ll see the message “Rising Rookie Rebecca” written on the back.

To proceed with the STARS office case, return to the office and enter the code R-R-R when prompted. This unlocks a puzzle, and should be quicker than searching for the detonator pieces.

Completing this task rewards you with the Power Shades Charm. This charm allows bullets to pass through any obstacle and significantly boosts the damage of your final shot. It’s especially effective when used with the Requiem weapon.
