TheBurntPeanut tells fans to stop roasting Marathon already

TheBurntPeanut has criticized players for being overly harsh on the upcoming game, Marathon, even before its official release.

Marathon has faced a lot of challenges so far. When Bungie first showed off the game, players weren’t very impressed. Then, accusations of plagiarism surfaced, leading to the game being delayed from its original 2025 release to 2026.

After that, opinions began to improve, thanks to more popular gameplay footage released late last year. This created excitement when the free Server Slam trial launched, giving players their first chance to experience the game.

Even though the complete game isn’t available until March 5th, some players have already formed an opinion about it. Popular streamer TheBurntPeanut is encouraging them to try it out.

TheBurntPeanut tells Marathon haters to “shut up”

During a live stream, the creator – known for playing games like Escape from Tarkov and Arc Raiders – noticed viewers calling the game Marathon “trash” and “garbage.” He immediately responded to these negative comments.

He sarcastically said, “Wow, look at me, complaining about the new game the second it comes out. How cool am I?” Then, he shouted, “Stop it! This always happens with new games.”

He also noted that a lot of people criticizing his choice to stream Marathon instead of Arc Raiders had previously criticized Arc Raiders itself when it first came out.

He pointed out that he had also played Arc Raiders on its release day, just like the viewers he was telling to “shut up.”

Since the game is so new and Summer Slam limits access to certain maps and character customizations, TheBurntPeanut is asking players to give Marathon a fair chance before deciding if they like it or not.
