A kitten named Dobby is gaining attention online because he was born with four ears! He’s currently available for adoption at an animal shelter in Alabama, and the extra publicity is helping him find a loving home.
This incredibly cute kitten, named Dobby, has a unique look due to a genetic difference. He has two sets of ears, a noticeable underbite, and a little curly tail!
This adorable seven-month-old kitten, nicknamed after Dobby the elf from Harry Potter, has become a social media sensation! His foster mother, Stephanie Brown, recently shared his story with People magazine, where she discussed his health condition.
Brown’s previous owner gave him up for adoption because he didn’t get along with their older cat.

He needs dental surgery to fix an underbite that’s causing his bottom teeth to dig into the top of his mouth. Instead of realigning his jaw, the vets will just trim his lower canine teeth.
The surgery is scheduled for April 20, 2026, and he’ll be able to go home the same day with Brown. Because he’ll need time to recover and get settled, Brown is temporarily pausing the adoption application process.
Lots of people have expressed interest in the small dog, Dobby, and Brown believes he’ll find a loving, permanent home quickly.

Dobby loves being around children and is hoping to find a forever home with a family that has young kids, according to a recent interview with People magazine.
She explained that it’s important to accept and appreciate everyone and everything’s unique qualities, just like people, each animal has its own individual personality, how it looks, and any specific needs it might have.
Brown serves on the board of Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue in Hoover, Alabama. Once Dobby recovers from his surgery, his adoption profile will be available on their website.
Dobby is a cat recently gaining popularity online for his special look, following the viral fame of another cat, Dorito. Dorito became well-known because of her unusually large eyes, caused by a condition called ocular FIP.
