As the couples approach their wedding day, drama is unfolding for almost everyone. While Christine and Vic seem happily in love, the other couples from Love Is Blind season 10 are facing big issues that they should have discussed before leaving the pods. From disagreements about prenuptial agreements to clashing personalities, why are they putting these conversations off? Are they hoping problems will just disappear? Let’s break down each couple’s situation.
Bri and Connor
So, they called off the wedding, which was a shock, but honestly, it feels like they’re not quite ready to give up on each other. They might try to make things work and get married eventually, just on their own terms. It really makes you think, doesn’t it? It’s like one of their favorite songs asks, “How did it end up like this?”
The drama isn’t about Chris’s behavior at the reunion. He awkwardly tried flirting with Bri, suggesting they could have been casual and even traveled to fancy hotels. He also hinted that Connor only chose Bri over Emma because he knew Chris was interested in Jess. Bri surprised him by saying she wouldn’t go through this dating process with anyone else. Chris also spoke with Jess, offering a lukewarm apology if he’d seemed unkind and admitting he found her attractive. He disputed her recollection of their post-breakup texts and seemed to want to spend time with her, but she quickly rejected his advances.
Connor insists his decision to switch partners wasn’t influenced by Chris, though he admits to feeling a bit jealous. He fully trusts Bri, even when Chris tries to reconnect. It’s clear these two have a stronger connection than what’s been shown on screen. They even share a kiss under an arch on Bri’s college campus, hoping to start a tradition that leads to marriage. Bri also introduces Connor to her father, something that’s very important to her, and her family quickly takes a liking to him. This gives Bri the confidence to bring Connor along to her dress fitting with both her and Connor’s mothers.
During their last date, Bri finally shared what was bothering her. Despite the noise of passing trains, she told Connor she didn’t feel like he was falling in love with the best version of her. He admitted she’d been stressed with work, but insisted he was very happy and could list countless reasons why she’d make a wonderful wife. Bri moved him to tears by telling him he’d shown her what it truly felt like to be loved, and that he accepted her completely, even when she was difficult. He affectionately called her “his lunatic.”
Back at their place, Connor explained he’s only interested in loving her even more if he already feels so strongly for her, even when she’s at her lowest. Bri then launched into a long explanation of how she initially misjudged Connor, labeling him as lazy and a potential burden based on things like his car and clothes. She admitted she’s used to being with someone more dominant, and her description of Connor started to sound a lot like her ex, Chris. It seemed like she was finally heading towards a positive realization – she now recognizes Connor’s hard work and self-respect, and regrets doubting him. However, she then confessed she’s still trying to decide if Connor is the right person for her, or just someone meant to teach her what she deserves in a relationship. That was a tough admission.
Bri has made it clear she doesn’t want to get married right now, saying she’d have to say no at the altar. Connor, on the other hand, would have gone through with it, and reassured Bri that her feelings didn’t change his opinion of her. When Connor asked if she could see herself marrying him eventually, Bri offered a hopeful response. The fact that she’s avoiding a definitive rejection in front of everyone suggests she might be open to continuing the relationship outside of the show’s pressures. Connor is optimistic and determined to show Bri he’ll continue to support her, but it remains to be seen if she feels the same way.
Ashley and Alex
At a small get-together, Ashley was surprised to learn that Priyanka thought Alex was house-hunting in Austin. When both women questioned whether he’d been staying with an ex there, Alex became very defensive, sarcastically offering to share his Airbnb history or driver’s license, and even making an inappropriate joke. Priyanka and I were both shocked by his behavior. He was also rude to Priyanka, but eventually admitted he’d lied about his travel plans, claiming it was simpler than explaining the real reason for his trip.
When they returned to Ashley and Alex’s place, he insisted he wasn’t involved with his ex. He then surprised her with McDonald’s, and she ended the call with a smile. Is it really that simple – can chicken nuggets fix everything? Perhaps she needs to talk to her lawyer father again if she wants a clear understanding of her fiancé’s schedule and activities.
We then see Ashley and Alex playing soccer, and Ashley playfully tells Alex she’s letting him score – a gesture that seems incredibly sweet to him. Alex attempts a romantic date with a fireplace, but their conversation doesn’t really take off. As they discuss their first year of marriage, Ashley focuses on practical matters like where they’ll live, while Alex expresses a desire to simply be present and content. He also has a hard time thinking of things to ask her.
Ashley is drawn to Alex’s confidence, but she also likes having things planned out, which creates some friction. Alex practices Stoicism, a philosophy that helps him stay calm and focused on the process rather than the result – he compares it to focusing on playing a good soccer game instead of just winning. Despite this detached approach, he does think about the future, envisioning a house in Florida, investments in Dubai, and even a safe haven in New Zealand. He wants a family and to be happy with a wife and children, but it’s clear Ashley isn’t necessarily part of that picture. It seems if he were more certain she was ‘the one,’ he might listen to her suggestions – like making eye contact during dates – to improve their intimacy and avoid years of unsatisfying sex.
Amber and Jordan
After Jordan confessed to Vic that he was nervous about meeting Amber’s daughter, Emma, Amber became withdrawn and shut down. The next day, she explained that her biggest problem wasn’t Emma’s potential reaction to Jordan, but rather that he shared his feelings with someone else before talking to her. This made her question how open and honest they really are with each other. Amber even joked that Emma dislikes many things, like brushing her teeth, so whether Emma likes Jordan isn’t her primary concern. Jordan, in turn, was upset by the suggestion that he might be similar to the people who have previously deceived Amber.
For a first big disagreement, they navigated it surprisingly well. Amber actively worked to stay calm and avoid her typical reactive response, and Jordan, who was anxious all day and hadn’t eaten, made an effort to share his feelings and acknowledge hers. In the end, they resolved things with a hug, expressions of love, and apologies. He also reassured her by telling her she was beautiful and promising to be more open with her in the future.
Amber was tearful at her dress fitting, imagining how happy her daughter will be to see her find real love. I’m a little surprised Jordan and Emma haven’t spent much time together before now. It turns out Jordan won’t even meet Emma until the wedding day itself! That means Amber is clearly very trusting of Jordan, since she’s comfortable marrying him without first seeing how well he gets along with her daughter.
Christine and Vic
Things are consistently peaceful and harmonious for Ohio’s power couple. From choosing flowers to relaxing at the spa, they always seem confident and at ease with each other. We haven’t even witnessed a hint of disagreement between them – not even a cross word! The most stressed Christine appears to be is when she’s trying on wedding dresses and isn’t immediately happy with her choices. Their claims of being each other’s perfect match truly sound like they’re practicing their wedding vows.
Next week, we’ll see Vic’s sister react with some surprise to everything happening, but Christine’s mom had a similar initial reaction and eventually came around. Unless Netflix is hiding something, I don’t anticipate any big problems. However, if either Vic or Christine calls off the wedding, it would be a huge shock.
Brittany and Devonta
I’m starting to think Brittany is trying to make the marriage work simply because she’s already bought a wedding dress. It makes me question if she’s genuinely committed or just doesn’t want the dress to go to waste. As for Devonta, when he says he needs a day to himself to think things over, that doesn’t sound like someone who’s enthusiastic about getting married. It seems like he’s far from convinced.
He does address a few issues with Brittany directly. The usual one comes up – whether she feels he doesn’t show her enough affection with kisses or compliments – but she clarifies she wasn’t criticizing him at her dress fitting, just pointing out he’s not very expressive. We already know he doesn’t naturally give compliments, but it’s interesting that he’s quick to tease her about things like snoring, jokingly calling her names like Godzilla or Paul Bunyan.
I’m a little concerned, honestly. It sounds like he and Brittany didn’t really discuss money while they were getting to know each other in the pods, and that’s a big deal! He apparently earns a really good income – sometimes up to $40,000 a month – and now he wants a pre-nup to protect his assets. Brittany seems really hurt and wishes he’d mentioned it earlier, especially if it could be a make-or-break issue for them. It also sounds like they need to figure out if they’d share an account for spending money, just for fun things. It’s just a lot to unpack so quickly!
Okay, so Devonta brought up the pre-nup, and he’s trying to say it’s not about a lack of commitment, which…right. But honestly, the real tell was him admitting he waited until the very end to talk about it because he knew Brittany would be upset. It’s a little manipulative, but they somehow managed to frame it as him knowing her so well, which felt like a stretch. Thankfully, they ended on a somewhat positive note, praying and sharing a laugh, but I’m still side-eyeing the whole situation.
Emma and Mike
It’s disappointing that their trip to the zoo didn’t lead to a real conversation about their future, specifically whether or not they want children. Emma hints at wanting to enjoy their time together before starting a family, but when Mike asks about kids, she simply says she’s still considering it and hopes her feelings will develop. Even on their wedding day, Mike admits he still has doubts, and they both claim they didn’t discuss it the night before. Despite this, they believe they communicate well with each other, which seems surprising given the situation.
Emma and Mike definitely seem very much in love. Emma gets emotional talking about her happiness with him, especially since her wedding happens to be on her 28th birthday. I’m just hoping she’s considered that she deserves someone who provides the same sense of security and peace, but maybe doesn’t feel as strongly about having children. She’s been carefully considering this decision, sharing her thoughts with her bridesmaids and even Mike’s mother. Mike’s parents, who are being supportive, have mentioned that he’s been unusually stressed and a bit difficult lately.
During the wedding ceremony, Mike admitted it wasn’t the right time to pressure Emma, but emphasized his strong desire to know if she wanted to have children with him. This made some guests uncomfortable, as it felt like a personal discussion better suited for a private conversation, not wedding vows. Emma’s sister seemed particularly unhappy. Mike had previously asked Emma to answer first, so he could then respond – a strange way to approach such a significant commitment. It raised the question of what would happen if the officiant asked him about it first.
Fortunately, Emma was asked to respond first. Her answer was a bit hesitant, filled with pauses and deep breaths that worried Mike’s mother. While she didn’t directly say she wanted children, Emma ultimately told Mike she loved him and couldn’t imagine her life without him, which she confirmed was a ‘yes.’ It’s clear Mike deserves a partner who shares his enthusiasm for starting a family and can offer a more confident commitment. However, it’s uncertain if he realizes this. The episode ends with a suspenseful moment and a preview suggesting more emotional scenes are coming. It leaves viewers wondering how many of the couples will actually make it down the aisle.
Extra Engaged
I was trying to figure out which couple should get married! I left Bri and Connor as possibilities, since their relationship continued even when we weren’t filming. Here are the results from my final poll of my coworkers this season:
🥇 Christine and Vic (100%)
🥈Amber and Jordan (83%)
🥉Emma and Mike (50%)
🎖️Bri and Connor (17%)
💀Ashley and Alex (0%)
💀 Brittany and Devonta (0%)
A Couple Final Thoughts
• Bri doesn’t even know who Andrew Tate is! Love that for her. Wish I could relate.
Keya and Kevan had the most amicable breakup this season. They both agree—with Amber offering support—that Keya made the right decision ending things with him.
Last week’s sneak peek showed a scene with Devonta and Brittany in a hot tub where he seemed to want some space. It looks like the show didn’t include that moment, possibly because they were too focused on other drama to show everything.
During the tuxedo fitting, the guys seemed really upset with Chris. I’m still not sure if they all know how badly he talked about Connor. I’m hoping the reunion will give Chris a chance to explain himself – not just about his height, but also about those troubling voicemails his ex-girlfriend posted online. I’d really like to see him address all of that.
