ARC Raiders players spot massive new ARC threat during Hurricane update

I was playing ARC Raiders during the Shrouded Sky update’s Hurricane event, and wow, we just encountered a seriously huge ARC Threat! It honestly looks like the biggest machine they’ve put in the game so far – it was a pretty intense moment for all of us players.

Update 1.17.0, called The Shrouded Sky, went live on February 24th, adding a constant Hurricane to the game’s maps. Along with the storm came new enemies – the Firefly and the Comet. The Hurricane makes it harder to see and move, and it’s within this challenging weather that players will encounter a significant new ARC threat.

During recent hurricane matches, players have been seeing a large, new ARC—something bigger than both the Queen and the Matriarch—high in the sky above the clouds.

New skyborne ARC spotted during Hurricane matches

In ARC Raiders, the Emperor is a truly frightening enemy. These massive, spider-like machines can often be seen in the sky or far off in the distance on maps like Blue Gate and Buried City. They’re much larger than even the biggest standard ARCs, constantly reminding players of the scale of the invasion.

The machine seen during Hurricane conditions appears to be the Emperor’s flying counterpart.

At first, people spotted two bright lights and heard a loud buzzing sound through the storm. But when the footage was slowed down, a clearer shape emerged. Despite the strong wind and poor visibility, the object – the ARC – appears to have a large central section with broad, wing-like structures extending from both sides.

Instead of looking like a typical spider-shaped vehicle, it seems more like a massive, hovering platform or a gunship, floating high in the clouds.

Bright beams sweep across the ground as the machine vanishes into the storm. The whole event is brief, but the machine seems much larger and more powerful than other major threats – comparable in scale to an Emperor-level ARC.

This ARC is different from the Emperor; it’s much faster and stays hidden within the Hurricane effect, making it hard to see clearly. However, it might be the Large Arc Embark that was announced in April.
