This week sees the release of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Xbox app). The game comes with downloadable content (DLC) and is available in several different editions. The Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Deluxe Edition includes the following:
- Dragon Quest VII Reimagined base game
- Dragon Quest VII Reimagined “Additional DLC Sets”: The Road of Regal Wretches ($5.99), Luminary’s Livery ($4.99), Jam-Packed Swag Bag ($3.99).
- 48 hours of early access (for pre-orders)
- White Wolf Costume (Appearance changing costume for Ruff) (This appears to be exclusive to the Additional DLC Sets or the Deluxe Edition/upgrade)

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Collector’s Edition contents
This bundle includes everything from the Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Deluxe Edition, plus a collectible SteelBook case, a Ship in a Bottle figure with a stand, and a medium-sized Dragon Quest Smile Slime plush.
How to upgrade from Dragon Quest VII Reimagined to the Deluxe Edition
Today’s store page shows you can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to get all DLC content, including the three DLC packs and the White Wolf Costume. The price for the complete bundle hasn’t been announced yet, but you can find the prices for each DLC pack listed separately.

This downloadable content adds costumes inspired by Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age to Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. Here’s what’s included:

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined The Road of Regal Wretches DLC contents
So, I just downloaded the ‘Road of Regal Wretches’ DLC for Dragon Quest VII, and it’s awesome! It adds a bunch of new challenges to the Battle Arena. Basically, I get to fight some seriously tough demon kings from the original Erdrick Trilogy games. If I can beat them, I can snag some really great rewards, including the legendary Erdrick’s Sword! Here’s a list of the monsters I’ll be up against…
