A new look at the character Oliver Grayson has been revealed for Season 4 of Invincible. Oliver’s introduction in Season 2 was a major surprise. As the half-Tharaxan, half-Viltrumite son of Omni-Man, he’s become an important character in the series. After coming to Earth, Oliver was adopted into the Grayson family and raised by Omni-Man’s wife, Debbie, becoming the adopted brother of Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible.
Viewers watched the character develop remarkably quickly last season, going from baby to child in a short time. Season 4 promises another big change, as the character continues to evolve and grow up.
The recently released trailer for Invincible Season 4 offered fans their first look at an updated Oliver design. Along with hints about upcoming villains and a new superhero team led by Invincible, the trailer briefly showed how Oliver’s appearance will change as he gets older.

This new depiction of the younger Grayson is significantly older than his previous appearances. He’s grown up considerably, appearing to have aged from around eight years old to thirteen or fourteen.

He’s noticeably paler than before. Although his rapid growth is due to his Tharaxan genes and explains why he looks older, there’s no explanation for the fading of his purple skin color.

Okay, so the leading explanation for the shift in his skin tone? It seems as though his Viltriumite DNA is just becoming more dominant as he gets older, essentially overriding his Tharaxan genes and changing his complexion. It’s a fascinating bit of character development, and the visual effects really sell it.

Okay, so I just saw a sneak peek, and Oliver Grayson is looking so much more like his dad now! He’s ditched the little-kid clothes and rocking a red hoodie, which is cool, but the big thing is his new superhero suit. It’s red and black – a total departure from the pink and yellow we saw in Season 3. Definitely a more mature, Omni-Man inspired look, and I’m here for it!

His updated appearance is now much more faithful to the comic books, particularly as he fully embraces his role as a superhero while balancing it with his everyday life and relationship with his brother.

Okay, so I just got a sneak peek at what’s coming in Invincible Season 4, and things are about to get intense. We’ll see Oliver facing off against what sounds like his most formidable foe yet – this alien general named Thragg is seriously scary. The new season kicks off on March 18th and will be eight episodes long, and trust me, you won’t want to miss it. It’s shaping up to be a huge challenge for our hero, and I’m already on the edge of my seat!
How Will Kid Omni-Man Play Into Invincible Season 4
Fans were thrilled to see Oliver Grayson, also known as Kid Omni-Man, return in Season 3, and it looks like he’ll have a major role in the upcoming fourth season of Invincible, just as he did in the comics.
As Oliver gets older, he’s expected to become more involved in the superhero action in the upcoming episodes. This follows his first experiences with superpowers last season, where he proved himself to his brother, Mark, also known as Invincible, and gained his trust.
Season 4 will likely feature a major new development: the rise of Invincible Inc. Think of it as Mark Grayson’s version of the Avengers – a team of heroes he’s assembled. We first saw the beginnings of this group in Season 3, and it seems they’ll be taking center stage in the upcoming season.
The latest team from Invincible Inc. features Mark Grayson, Omni-Man, Allen the Alien, and, naturally, Kid Omni-Man.
The new episodes will be exciting as Oliver faces his first real challenge as a superhero. He’ll join his team against Thragg, a powerful Viltrumite determined to conquer Earth after Omni-Man and Invincible’s plan didn’t work.
Fans of the comics already know Thragg’s arrival means trouble for Oliver (you can find details about what happens to Oliver in the comics here). This knowledge of a possible sad ending will likely influence how viewers perceive Oliver’s story as it unfolds.
