A recent report from industry insider James Mack suggests the next movie in the series will feature aliens and kick off a larger, space-focused storyline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

Mack believes Black Panther 3 could be among the first movies kicking off the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He also hinted at a possible villain: Annihilus, a character from Marvel comics known for controlling the Negative Zone and often clashing with The Fantastic Four.

There’s been a lot of speculation about who will take on the role of Black Panther in future Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. According to sources, a new Black Panther is expected to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled to come out in 2027. This film will be a follow-up to Avengers: Doomsday, set to release on December 18, 2026, with Secret Wars following on December 17, 2027.

According to recent reports, Damson Idris is a strong contender to play a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has been meeting with Marvel Studios about it. While a decision is expected soon, it’s unclear when we’ll find out if he’s officially been cast.

Winston Duke will reprise his role as M’Baku, and Tenoch Huerta Mejía will return as Namor, who served as the primary antagonist in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Production on the film is currently underway.

Marvel is planning a third Black Panther movie, with Ryan Coogler back as director. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, it’s expected to come out after Avengers: Secret Wars.
