The TV show Grey’s Anatomy temporarily stopped filming because of widespread protests happening across the U.S. The protests have grown significantly after Renée Good and Alex Pretti were fatally shot by federal agents in Minneapolis, sparking national outrage from people across the political spectrum. While protests have occurred throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, this incident has caused a major increase in demonstrations nationwide.
Production on season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy was paused on Friday, January 30th, to support nationwide protests against ICE. Several crew members had planned to stay home that day, leading show executives to postpone filming. The crew is scheduled to resume work on Saturday, January 31st, according to Variety.
