Many fantasy TV shows are getting continuations, and that’s working well for series like the new Buffy. However, some popular shows would be better served by a complete reboot – a fresh start for the story, setting, or characters. Carnival Row and Supernatural, for example, have strong fantasy worlds that could be excitingly reimagined with new characters and storylines.

Even though critics weren’t impressed, Carnival Row has gained a loyal following. Many appreciate the show’s powerful exploration of prejudice and political conflict, which resonates with fans of high fantasy. What really stood out was its unique and imaginative world, inspired by creatures like faeries, trolls, and shapeshifters.

Some fans were disappointed with the series finale, feeling it didn’t offer enough closure for certain characters and left too many questions unanswered. As a result, many would like to see the show return for a better conclusion.
