Before the release of *Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade* on January 22, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, Square Enix has shared new images and explained a new feature called Streamlined Progression.
If you didn’t see the announcement last week, Square Enix is introducing a new Streamlined Progression feature to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2. This feature is designed for players who want to prioritize the story and offers options to enhance their experience accordingly. Here’s what it includes:
- HP/MP always maxed out
- Damage dealt to enemies is always 9999
- Possess the maximum number of each item at all times (with some exceptions)
You can change the settings whenever you like using the Options menu in the game. Each setting can be turned on or off as needed.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is out now for PlayStation 5 and PC, available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S (with Play Anywhere access) on January 22, 2026. You can add it to your Xbox wishlist here. For those just learning about it, the complete Final Fantasy VII remake – all three parts – is confirmed to be coming to multiple platforms.
I’m so excited for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade! Square Enix just dropped a bunch of new screenshots and a trailer, which you can check out below. It’s looking amazing!
