Rumors suggest that a character from a much-criticized Marvel movie will make a brief appearance in Avengers: Doomsday.
What character will have a cameo appearance in Avengers: Doomsday?
A recent report from MyTimeToShine says that Love, Thor’s adopted daughter, will make a brief appearance in the upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday. Love was first introduced in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder, and her story is closely tied to the villain Gorr – his death is what motivates him to seek revenge against the gods using the Necrosword.
Despite mostly negative feedback from fans, the movie concludes with Love being brought back to life. Gorr, as he’s dying, asks Thor to look after her. In the final scene, Love is shown using Thor’s axe, Stormbreaker.
We don’t yet know what role Love will play in the upcoming movie, Doomsday, but current speculation about the film’s themes seems to align with her presence, and a new trailer is expected soon.
Several key actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are set to appear in the movie, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.
The movie will also feature appearances by Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent/John Walker, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing/Ben Grimm, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The next X-Men movie will feature the return of several familiar faces, including Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026.
