Fans pay tribute after death of beloved tech YouTuber Lamarr Wilson at 48

People are sharing heartfelt messages remembering Lamarr Wilson, a popular YouTuber known for his videos about technology and lifestyle, after his passing at age 48.

I was so shocked to hear about Wilson’s passing. According to records from the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office, he died at home on November 21, 2025. His family then confirmed the news on Facebook a few weeks later, on December 13th. Their post was really heartfelt, and it reminded everyone of just how much he accomplished, both online and in his personal life. It’s a huge loss.

The Wilson family expressed their deep sadness over the loss of LaMarr, noting he had a promising future with many projects already planned and agreed upon with tech and media companies. He was excited about adding these accomplishments to his work, as he shared on social media.

YouTube community remembers tech creator Lamarr Wilson

Wilson built a large online audience starting in 2008 with his YouTube channel. Over the past 17 years, his channel has gained over 2 million subscribers who watch his videos about tech gifts, gadget reviews, video games, and other related topics.

He had a large social media following, with over 1 million TikTok followers and more than 239,000 on Instagram. Wilson recently turned 48, celebrating his birthday on October 22nd.

The content creator, based in Los Angeles, famously co-hosted an episode of George Takei’s web show, ‘Takei’s Take,’ where they discussed Google Glass. That episode won a Webby Award for technology-related online film and video in 2014.

Wilson created and hosted two web series for Mashable, and frequently appeared on the Daily Tech News Show podcast. He also served as a judge at CES and provided IT and social media guidance to the International Association of Military Women of Color.

He also collaborated with popular gaming YouTuber Dashie, sometimes playing video games together. A good example is their Mario Kart World video, which they released in July.

Fans around the world are sharing touching tributes to the late Wilson, celebrating his funny and entertaining videos and remembering his lively spirit.

“Rest in peace man,” one wrote on Instagram. “You were always so energetic and entertaining.”

“RIP to a legend,” another said on TikTok. “I can’t believe this is real.”
