GungHo and Falcom have now released *Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter* on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. Like other games in the *Trails* series, it comes in several editions, both physical and digital. Additional content will be available as downloadable content (DLC) starting on launch day, with most of it included in the Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Digital Deluxe Edition contents and price
The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full game and all bonus content from the Season Pass. It costs 12,100 Yen in Japan, while the standard version is 8,800 Yen. Pricing for North America hasn’t been announced yet, but it will be revealed when the game releases.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Season Pass contents
The Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Season Pass gives you access to all premium costumes and attachments. While the Season Pass is the easiest way to get everything, all these items will also be sold separately as downloadable content (DLC) starting September 19, 2025. Each item will become available for individual purchase on the same day its DLC is released. Please keep in mind that the Season Pass does not include any consumable items.

More downloadable content is planned, probably similar to what we’ve seen in other Trails games, but the details aren’t available yet. I’ll share pricing and what’s included as soon as it’s announced.
How to access DLC in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
Once you’ve bought and downloaded DLC, or entered a redemption code, go to the main menu in the game. Then, choose the ‘Item’ menu, and finally select the ‘DLC’ tab. This will show you any available DLC, which you can then activate for your current game.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack
If you own a physical copy of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for Nintendo Switch, you can buy the $1 Upgrade Pack to download and play the updated version. Your saved progress will carry over to the new version.
