Divinity Original Sin 3 Not Happening Now At Larian, Nor Is A Toilet Simulator

Before The Game Awards, many people thought a mysterious teaser hinted at a new Divinity: Original Sin game, but Larian Studios has confirmed they aren’t working on a third installment. They also clarified they’re definitely not making a toilet simulator, either.

Michael Douse, head of publishing, recently addressed rumors online, stating that while a new Divinity: Original Sin 3 isn’t in development right now, they will share what they’re working on when the time is right.

Following the massive success of Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios is working on several new projects, though details are still under wraps. One thing fans shouldn’t expect anytime soon is a game centered around toilets.

Douse added, “I can confirm we aren’t working on a toilet simulator at this moment.”

Reports indicate the mysterious monolith featured at The Game Awards isn’t hinting at announcements for Diablo 4, The Elder Scrolls 6, or the next God of War game.

Larian Studios’ Alexander Douse responded to a leak revealing a Definitive Edition of Divinity: Original Sin 2 on the PlayStation Store, jokingly stating, “We weren’t supposed to announce that yet.” The official announcement is expected to come at a later date.

I’m so excited for The Game Awards on December 11th! Baldur’s Gate 3 is up for Best Community Support again, which it totally deserves, and I’m really hoping it wins. Plus, I’m dying to find out what that weird teaser statue they showed off was all about – hopefully we’ll get some answers then!
