Bandai Namco has released a new update for Super Robot Wars Y, version 1.1.1, to fix some issues. The update specifically resolves bugs that were causing problems with certain events towards the end of the game, preventing players from progressing.
The recent ver1.1.0 patch, which introduced the first set of downloadable content, caused some new bugs to appear. These issues are happening in the “The Savior of Earth” and “Light Cuts Through Darkness” stages, both found near the end of the game in Chapter 7.
You can find the original issue report, including temporary fixes, just below. Super Robot Wars Y is currently available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (through Steam). A second set of downloadable content is planned, but we don’t have a release date for it yet.

Regarding the Issues Occurring in ver.1.1.0
We discovered a few problems in version 1.1.0, released on November 18, 2025, when used in specific situations.
■Issues Currently Confirmed by Our Team
A bug in the upcoming “The Savior of Earth” event (available in Chapter 7) may prevent players from starting the battle.
In the upcoming update, Chapter 07’s event sequence in “Light Cuts Through Darkness” may cause the game to stop working properly.
■Temporary Workarounds
In the “Saotome Laboratory” map, about halfway through the “The Savior of Earth” stage, you can advance past a problematic section by using the “Skip” function when a specific prompt appears.
Sho”What?!”
In the “Light Cuts Through Darkness” battle against Barao and Midollo, you need to defeat Midollo first to continue with the mission.
