A sweet moment between Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton was captured on camera at a recent event. The two actors, who famously played Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy in all eight of the popular fantasy films released between 2001 and 2011, shared a warm embrace.
Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton recently had a heartwarming reunion at a screening of Radcliffe’s new film, Merrily We Roll Along. A video from People shows the sweet moment when Felton walked up to Radcliffe, who immediately embraced him in a hug. You can watch the video below!
The video captures a quick and friendly conversation between the two former Harry Potter stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton, with Radcliffe briefly resting a hand on Felton’s shoulder. The video cuts off before they finish talking, but the theater lights start flashing, signaling the end of the intermission.
This meeting with Daniel Radcliffe happens as Tom Felton is revisiting the world of Harry Potter, recently making his Broadway debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In the popular play, Felton once again plays Draco Malfoy, now an older version of the character, in a story that takes place 19 years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011).
Felton’s recent get-together with Radcliffe isn’t the only time he’s met up with former co-stars. He also recently reconnected with Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy in several of the Harry Potter movies.
Daniel Radcliffe has been quite open about wanting to move on from the Harry Potter franchise and doesn’t plan to return to the role anytime soon. However, he recently shared that he wrote a letter to Dominic McLaughlin, the actor taking on the role of Harry in the new HBO Harry Potter TV series, to wish him well.
Daniel Radcliffe continues to choose interesting roles, and his latest is a film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical, Merrily We Roll Along. Directed by Maria Friedman, the movie features performances from the stage version, including Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez.
Daniel Radcliffe has recently starred in films such as Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022), The Lost City (2022), and Escape from Pretoria (2020). Tom Felton, best known for his role as Malfoy, has appeared in recent movies including Altered (2025), Some Other Woman (2023), Burial (2022), and The Forgotten Battle (2020).
Even though Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t appear likely to reprise his role in the Harry Potter series in the near future, his recent get-together with Tom Felton highlights how significantly the franchise shaped his life and career.
