How To Get The Drunken Poet Mystic Skill In Where Winds Meet

The Drunken Poet is a particularly fun Mystic Skill to use in Where Winds Meet. It does exactly what it sounds like – your character uses the power of alcohol to unleash powerful attacks on enemies.

This skill is a bit tricky to unlock, as it requires a specific item only sold by one merchant. This guide will quickly walk you through how to get the Drunken Poet skill.

Drunken Poet Mystic Skill Location

In Where Winds Meet, players can unlock the Drunken Poet Mystic skill only by purchasing and consuming wine from the Honest Merchant, who can be found south of the Evercare Clinic Boundary Stone fast travel point.

If you’ve finished Chapter One of the Where Winds Meet campaign, the Honest Merchant will relocate to a new spot: east of the Evercare Clinic, in the northwestern part of Moonveil Mountain in Qinghe.

When you get there, turn around and run either north or east until you spot Hao Jiu, the Honest Merchant.

Each bottle costs 9998 coins, and you’ll need to buy 8 to 10 of Hao Jiu’s wines. Drink them one after another until your character gets really drunk – this will unlock the Drunken Poet skill, which you can then use.

This useful attack lets you hit a single enemy up to five times in a row. Each strike costs six Vitality and also has a chance to inflict the Drunken Haze effect.

Curing Alcohol Poisoning

Okay, so getting the Drunken Poet skill in Where Winds Meet comes with a catch. Basically, you will become an alcoholic in the game. It means it takes way longer to sober up after drinking, which can be a real pain when you’re trying to get back to adventuring!

You can easily fix this by going to Yao Yaoyao at the Evercare Clinic, just as you would for any other health problem. Treating your alcoholism will cost 13,000 Coin, allowing you to cast Drunken Poet without any penalties.
