For anyone with a Netflix account, “Nobody Wants This” is a real treat! The charming romantic comedy, with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, will be back for a third season in 2026. Although we have a bit of a wait, it’s a great time to start anticipating and learning about what’s next for Joanne and Noah in one of Netflix’s top shows.

Nobody Wants This Season 3 Release Date
There’s no official release date for Season 3 of Nobody Wants This yet, but it’s likely to air sometime in 2026. The first season came out in late September 2024, and the second in late October. Based on this pattern, fall 2026 seems like the most probable timeframe, though we’ll have to wait for an official announcement.
Netflix announced on its Tudum site that Nobody Wants This will return for a third season in November 2025, shortly after the release of Season 2. While the number of episodes hasn’t been confirmed, the first two seasons each had 10 episodes, and fans are hoping Season 3 will follow suit.

Season 3 Is Already Being Written
Kristen Bell revealed to Parade that writers had begun working on Season 3 even before its official renewal. According to series creator Erin Foster in a Tudum interview, she’s thrilled the show is continuing.
I’m thrilled to have the chance to write about this amazing couple, and I’ll happily continue doing so as long as it doesn’t interfere with my evening reality TV! It’s a real pleasure, and I’ll support them for as long as they’d like.
Jennie Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, the show’s creators, expressed their happiness and thankfulness for the renewal, and are looking forward to continuing to work with Lena Dunham, the cast, and the entire team.
Okay, so Season 2 didn’t quite hit the same high notes as the first one – at least, that’s what the critics seemed to think. But honestly, I was really relieved to hear we’re getting more! I’m so invested in these characters, and I’m happy their story isn’t over yet.

Who From The Nobody Wants This Cast Will Return For Season 3?
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, we anticipate the familiar faces from the show will be back for Season 3, as no cast changes have been announced.
- Kristen Bell (Joanne)
- Adam Brody (Noah)
- Justine Lupe (Morgan)
- Timothy Simons (Sasha)
- Jackie Tohn (Esther)
- Tovah Feldshuh (Bina)
- Stephanie Faracy (Lynn)
- Paul Ben-Victor (Ilan)
- Michael Hitchcock (Henry)
It remains to be seen if the actors from the first two seasons will return for Season 3, and who else might join the cast. Season 2 featured appearances by Leighton Meester and Seth Rogen, and we hope their characters will reappear in future episodes!

Stories And Relationships I Can’t Wait To See More Of In Season 3
Okay, listen up! If you haven’t finished both seasons of Nobody Wants This yet, seriously, stop reading now. I’m about to dive deep into spoiler territory, and I don’t want to ruin anything for you. Consider this your last warning – I’m about to unpack some major plot points, so proceed at your own risk if you’re not completely caught up!
Noah and Joanne
I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens with Noah and Joanne. Just like in the first season, they ended season two facing a potential breakup, but ultimately strengthened their bond. This time, Joanne decided to convert to Judaism – not necessarily for Noah, but because, after talking with Esther, she realized what the religion could mean for her personally. I’ll share more thoughts on that storyline shortly. For now, it’s interesting to consider how this decision will affect their relationship. It seems positive, but it will be fascinating to see how it unfolds.
I’m still thinking about something from the Season 2 finale – it might not be important, but it’s bothering me. During the argument between Noah and Joanne at Morgan’s party – the one where Joanne suggested Noah marry Rebecca – Sasha asked them to film him doing a dance for social media. Could that argument, where Joanne basically told Noah to go ahead and marry Rebecca, have accidentally been recorded in the video Sasha posted? It felt like the timing was intentional, and it could cause drama if Rebecca somehow sees the video and starts to believe she still has a chance with Noah. Of course, it’s possible this is a dead end and the video will never be mentioned again.
Joanne’s Conversion To Judaism
Joanne has decided to convert to Judaism. While this will probably make her relationship with Noah easier, it seems to be a choice driven by her own desires and what she wants to achieve personally. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this journey helps her grow as a character.
What’s Next For Morgan?
Morgan’s relationship with her therapist, Dr. Andy, ended badly at the close of Season 2. Now, as Season 3 begins, it’s exciting to think about what’s next for her – both in terms of finding new love and continuing to develop as a person. While Dr. Andy was a likeable character, it’s important that Morgan remains separated from him, and I’m eager to see where her journey takes her.
I really enjoy the dynamic between Morgan and Joanne as sisters, and I’m excited to see what happens with them in the next season.
Sasha and Esther’s Rocky Relationship
Sasha and Esther seemed like a great match, so their breakup at the end of Season 2 was really disappointing. I’d happily watch Season 3 focus on them working through their issues and rediscovering their connection – and hopefully building a stronger, happier marriage. It would also be nice to see the show explore other couples, and maybe give Noah and Joanne a bit of a break with some positive development.
Noah and Sasha’s relationship
The series gives a lot of attention to the relationship between Morgan and Joanne, but Sasha and Noah, despite being brothers, haven’t had as much shared screen time. Hopefully, Season 3 will show them together more often. Adam Brody even mentioned to The Hollywood Reporter that he’s asked the writers for more scenes with the two brothers.
After watching the second season, I reached out to Erin with some ideas for the potential third season. I wasn’t sure if they’d be used, but my main suggestion was to include more scenes with Tim.
Hopefully, Season 3 will feature more scenes with Timothy Simons, and we’ll learn more about Noah and his brother. With Sasha going through marriage problems, she might turn to Noah for advice. Only time will tell what happens!
We’re expecting more news about Season 3 of Nobody Wants This as filming begins. While we wait, you can enjoy Seasons 1 and 2 again on Netflix.
