Recent reports suggest that a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag could be released before the end of this year.
Tom Henderson, a reliable source for gaming news at Insider Gaming, has consistently reported on rumors about a new pirate-themed Assassin’s Creed game. Combined with recent activity from Ubisoft, this has led many fans to believe an announcement for a Black Flag Remake or Remaster is coming soon.
So, I’ve been hearing rumors, and it looks like they might be true! A reliable source, Henderson, just dropped some info saying that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is getting a revamp – like a fresh coat of paint – before the end of March 2026. That’s what he’s saying, anyway, and I’m pretty hyped if it’s real!
The journalist is referencing the latest financial report from the French company. As we previously reported, the report listed games planned for release by the end of 2026. In addition to the games already announced, it included one unrevealed project. Henderson believes this new game is a new installment in the Black Flag series.
Just a reminder that you should consider unconfirmed information as just rumors. However, fans of the Assassin’s Creed series, or AC, are strongly believing that Black Flag will be announced to return soon. It’s possible we might even see an announcement at The Game Awards this year!
