Zotac says the graphics card market is facing increasing difficulties due to a lack of memory chips and expected reductions in GPU availability. This follows a recent announcement from their Korean branch regarding price increases and adjustments to rewards for retailers.
ZOTAC Korea recently warned customers that limited memory availability and lower graphics card production are creating serious problems, potentially threatening the future of companies that make and sell GPUs.
People are reacting to fluctuating prices for computer parts, especially the newest NVIDIA graphics cards. Reports of significant price hikes and shortages have caught the attention of many consumers.
ZOTAC Korea cites memory shortages and rising RTX prices
I was really shocked to read the company’s statement – they said things are incredibly serious right now. They’re actually worried about whether graphics card companies like them, and the stores that sell them, will even be able to survive this. It’s a pretty scary thought!
The company also stated that there’s still a limited supply of memory, and they’ve announced that fewer graphics cards (GPUs) will be available. As a result, some models are likely to be out of stock for quite a while.
ZOTAC Korea also questioned whether they’ll be able to consistently produce products in the future. They specifically noted concerns that, beyond GPUs made by Samsung, maintaining a steady supply could be difficult.
Hello, this is ZOTAC Korea. We recently shared details about our reward points program, offering a 2% benefit. We sincerely apologize for needing to follow up so quickly – just one month later. Unfortunately, we’re facing a very serious situation that requires another announcement.

Rising costs were also a key reason for the announcement. The company explained that they’ve been getting prices that are too high to continue operating as before.
The price of both the RTX 5090 and the 5060 has gone up significantly.
ZOTAC Korea ended its announcement by apologizing to customers, stating, “We are truly sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding, as this was a necessary decision.”
RAM prices are continuing to rise, and NVIDIA is reportedly planning to reduce production of some of its best-selling graphics cards. They might replace these with the RTX 3060, which uses an older type of RAM, due to the ongoing shortage of components.
