SimpleFlips, a popular YouTuber, has responded to recent discussions about his ban from speedrun.com. He states that the site didn’t reach out to him before removing his account and that accusations of wrongdoing are false.
SimpleFlips, a popular content creator in the speedrunning and Mario game communities, released a detailed statement on X (formerly Twitter) on April 28th. He said he was prompted to do so after noticing renewed discussion about his ban from the speedrun.com website.
So, I just saw a post about me getting banned from speedrun.com, and the comments section is going wild with everyone guessing what happened. I’m going to update the statement I made back in 2021 to explain everything and set the record straight.
SimpleFlips says speedrun.com never contacted him about his ban, and he only found out months afterward. He believes a quick conversation could have resolved the issue.
I recently found out I was banned from speedrun.com, and there’s a lot of discussion and guessing about why. I’m updating my previous statement from 2021 to explain what happened. The ban was done without any communication from speedrun.com – I only discovered it myself…

SimpleFlips denies abuse allegations after speedrun.com ban
In the same post, SimpleFlips said he was banned because speedrun.com received false and damaging information about him online, and they accepted it without verifying the claims or contacting him first.
He insisted it was a false accusation. He strongly denied any claims of abuse, stating he’s never acted abusively towards a partner.
The YouTuber revealed he’s been dealing with harassment and bullying for the past five years, which kept him from speaking out publicly. He also stated he will no longer apologize for actions he didn’t commit.
Along with his statement, SimpleFlips shared a Google Doc called “In Defense Against Leah, Exposing Abuse and Behavioral Patterns.” In this document, he presents his side of the story and makes several accusations against Leah (known online as loohhoo). These claims involve her past relationships, disagreements within the speedrunning community, financial matters, old tweets that were deleted, and how she treated her pets.
The document also addresses a previous incident where SimpleFlips alleges he was falsely accused of cheating during the relationship. He states he felt forced to address the claims publicly at the time, but now maintains that the accusations were untrue and the situation was distorted.
SimpleFlips said he does not plan to respond further to any backlash from the post.
He stated he wouldn’t engage with any replies to his statement, and instead plans to focus on building a good future for his family or team.
Soon after sharing the initial statement, SimpleFlips hinted in a follow-up post that they might be exploring legal options.
“If you’re a lawyer in NV, feel free to reach out to me,” he wrote.
