You Won’t Believe What These Crypto Cowboys Tried in Oklahoma

Oklahoma securities regulators have sounded the alarm on what appears to be a crypto caper so wild it makes Spaceballs look like a documentary. The suspects? BG Wealth Sharing Ltd and two trading platforms-DSJ Exchange PTY Ltd and HQI Exchange-who allegedly promised riches but delivered the financial equivalent of a cream pie to the face.

show fake profits, block withdrawals, and hope the victims keep sending cash like it’s a telethon for bad decisions.

Earlier warnings add broader context

Oklahoma’s warning follows similar actions from Washington, Hawaii and Utah, who had already issued cease-and-desist orders against BG Wealth and DSJ. Regulators also said the companies falsely claimed to be licensed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission-because why stop at one lie when you can build a whole theme park?

Similar fraud patterns have popped up elsewhere, involving fake exchanges and private messaging groups. BG Wealth was also linked to a seized web domain after complaints about blocked withdrawals and alleged losses. Meanwhile, Oklahoma officials warned that recovery companies demanding upfront fees may just be another scam-like a con artist matryoshka doll.

Investors who sent money to BG Wealth, DSJ Exchange or HQI Exchange were urged to stop immediately and file a complaint with the Oklahoma Department of Securities. They were also advised to keep all records that could help investigators-because nothing helps justice like a well-organized folder of screenshots.
