Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, is expanding his world to a new police drama on network television. Y: Marshals will follow Kayce Dutton (played by Luke Grimes), a character from Yellowstone, as he joins the U.S. Marshals. After selling the Dutton Ranch at a significant loss at the end of Yellowstone, Kayce is now focused on bringing justice to Montana. In a recent trailer, he explains he’s seeking a fresh start after losing so much, and acknowledges that sometimes difficult choices are necessary.

Brecken Merrill, who plays Tate, and Gil Birmingham as Chief Rainwater are both returning for the new season. Mo Brings Plenty will also be back as Rainwater’s bodyguard, Mo. Joining the cast are Arielle Kebbel (known for Ballers), Ash Santos (American Horror Story: Apocalypse), Tatanka Means (Horizon), and Logan Marshall-Green (And Just Like That…), playing the characters Belle, Andrea, Miles, and Pete Calvin, respectively.
The new series Y: Marshals will debut on CBS March 1st, with episodes airing on Sundays and becoming available to stream on Paramount+ the following day. This marks the first Yellowstone series to air on CBS, building on the success of previous broadcasts of Yellowstone and Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King. While the Yellowstone universe continues to expand quickly, most of its growth will remain on Paramount+. Fans can also look forward to more spinoffs, including a series focused on Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) called The Dutton Ranch, and another starring Michelle Pfeiffer, The Madison. It seems like the Dutton family will soon dominate television.
