World Of Tanks: HEAT Officially Announced, Launching May 26

Wargaming, the creator of World of Tanks, has announced a new game called World of Tanks: HEAT. It’s set in a reimagined post-World War II world and will be available this month on PC (through Wargaming Game Center and Steam), Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW starting May 26.

World of Tanks: HEAT is a free-to-play game offering a quicker, more action-packed style of tank battles focused on teamwork. It’s been completely rebuilt with a new game engine created by Wargaming. You can watch a cinematic trailer for the game, directed by Ilya Naishuller (known for Hardcore Henry and Nobody), below.

Wargaming has also outlined what we can expect from the game when it launches in just a few weeks:

  • Eight Agents: Three battlefield roles — Defender, Assault, and Marksman. Each Agent commands a lethal two-vehicle roster, with each vehicle tailored to its role in combat.
  • Fifteen vehicles: Every one of the game’s vehicles supports a different playstyle, and can be fully customized through modules and equipment. There’ll be a tank for every kind of player. Except players who don’t like tanks, I guess.
  • Eight maps: Wargaming promises various biomes and settings designed to support all manner of playstyles across multiple modes.
  • Four PvP modes: Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest will all be available at launch.

Good news for players: World of Tanks: HEART will let you play with friends on any platform and carry over your progress, right from the start. You won’t have to worry about whether your friends are on a console or another device.

The game launches next week! You can support us now by joining our community and adding the game to your wishlist.
