Who Lost the Love Island USA App-Crashing Vote?

Spoilers for Love Island USA season 8, episode 9.

The public strongly disliked the pairing of Melanie and Sincere on Love Island USA, causing the app to temporarily crash. The fan vote to determine couples, usually held on Thursdays, was delayed until Friday to allow everyone to express their opinions. While counting mail-in ballots in the California primary took a while, it didn’t cause any technical issues, unlike the reaction to this Love Island pairing, even when Spencer Pratt lost.

During Friday night’s episode of Love Island: Aftersun, Ariana Madix arrived to shake things up, pairing some Islanders while seemingly ending things for others. Viewers at home got to play matchmaker, coupling Caleb with Kenzie, Jen with Gabriel, and Sol with Sincere – a tough break for Corbin, Bea, and Melanie. Melanie was already visibly upset before the votes were even revealed, but Bea was the one ultimately sent home. Despite her sadness, she tried to stay positive, saying, “Don’t cry you guys, I’m not dying,” as she left the villa.

Okay, let me tell you, Gabriel had a point when Jen was feeling guilty about getting between him and Bea – some things just happen, you know? But honestly, if you listen to the chatter on TikTok instead of looking at how Peacock actually tallied the votes, you’d think Zach and Bryce were the real power couple this season. And, surprisingly, it’s not entirely out of the question that could still turn out to be true!
