What happened to Soldier Boy in The Boys finale?

Jensen Ackles quickly became a popular character as Soldier Boy in Season 3 of ‘The Boys,’ and he’s set to star in his own spin-off series. But what exactly happened to Soldier Boy in the season finale?

Season 5 of The Boys has spent a lot of time exploring Soldier Boy and his connection to Homelander, which some viewers haven’t liked. Now that the season has ended with the deaths of several important characters, many are curious about what will happen to Soldier Boy.

What happens to Soldier Boy in The Boys?

Soldier Boy doesn’t appear in the final episode of The Boys. He’s likely still frozen in the cryochamber.

During the seventh episode of Season 5, Soldier Boy decided he’d had enough of being part of The Seven, working for Vought, and following Homelander’s orders. However, Homelander wouldn’t let him quit, knocking him unconscious and freezing him in cryosleep.

With Homelander gone, Stan Edgar is currently running Vought, meaning he’ll probably decide what happens to Soldier Boy.

Soldier Boy is confirmed to appear in the upcoming series Vought Rising, set to premiere in 2027. The show might also include scenes that show what happens to him after the events of the recent season.

I was really hoping to see him back in Season 3 of Gen V, but sadly that show got cancelled. Still, with The Boys: Mexico coming out and talk of other spin-offs, I’m pretty sure this isn’t the last time we’ll see this character. I’m keeping my fingers crossed Vought Rising wasn’t a one-off!
