The next major update for Cult of the Lamb, called Woolhaven, is coming in early 2026. It will add exciting new features like snowy areas where you’ll need to manage the environment to survive, and a complete ranching system. This means you’ll be able to raise and breed animals – not just your followers, but actual farm animals! While we don’t know the precise release date yet, there is a way to get an early look at the expansion.
Woolhaven beta opens soon, here’s how to get in
Devolver Digital, the publisher of Cult of the Lamb, recently opened sign-ups for the closed beta of its upcoming Woolhaven DLC on their official Discord server. They’ve emphasized that this is a very private beta – testers aren’t permitted to stream, record, share screenshots, or discuss any details about the new content.
If you’d like to try out the new content for Cult of the Lamb, all you need is a copy of the game on Steam and a completed registration form. The closed beta will be available from November 10th to 24th. To join, please submit your Discord username and the email address associated with your Steam account. Just remember that Woolhaven is an expansion that unlocks after you’ve completed the main story.
If you were hoping for another free update like the one that added local co-op (Unholy Alliance), Woolhaven will be a paid expansion. The developers say this DLC is huge, with more content than the original game. Because of this, it will likely cost more than previous expansions like the Pilgrim Pack or Sinful Pack, but they believe the amount of new content and gameplay justifies the price.
