Netflix has shared a release date and some first-look photos for season two of the popular young adult mystery series, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, starring Emma Myers.
Jenna Myers, known for her role in the popular Netflix series Wednesday, will reprise her role as Pip Fitz-Amobi. Pip, a budding detective, finds herself drawn into a new case after successfully solving the mystery of Andie Bell’s death in the first season. The second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is based on Holly Jackson’s novel Good Girl, Bad Blood and is scheduled to be released this year.
I’ve just seen some first-look images from the new season, and things are really heating up for Pip! It seems she and Ravi Singh – who I’m definitely shipping, by the way – are back on the case, diving headfirst into another seriously dangerous situation. And get this – Max Hastings, that suspicious character from the first season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, is still causing trouble for Pip. It looks like she hasn’t seen the last of him!

Netflix recently revealed the new actors joining season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Misia Butler (known from KAOS) will play Stanley Forbes, Eden H. Davies (Tell Me Everything) will be Jamie Reynolds, and Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses) will appear as Pip’s new neighbor, Charlie Green.
This season, Freddie England joins the cast as Robin, a new friend of Pip’s. He’ll be acting alongside returning cast members Myers, Iqbal, and Ashton, plus Asha Banks as Cara, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren, and Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor.
During the first season, Pip and Ravi were dedicated to uncovering what happened to Andie Bell, a mystery that had remained unsolved for five years. The case involved Ravi’s brother, Sal Singh, who was suspected of the murder. Pip and Ravi eventually revealed the truth, but their investigation dramatically changed the quiet town of Little Kilton.
Next season, Pip will be in a hurry to find Jamie, Connor’s brother, who is a crucial witness in the case against Andie’s real killer, Hastings. Here’s what the show is about:
Pip’s life changed dramatically after she cracked the Andie Bell case in Season 1, and not all the changes were positive. Now, she’s trying to make amends for what happened and wants to avoid getting involved in any more investigations. However, with the trial of Max Hastings (Henry Ashton) looming, a crucial witness, Jamie Reynolds (Davies), vanishes, forcing Pip into a frantic search. This new case will lead her down an unpredictable path, challenging her understanding of justice and pushing her further away from the innocent person she used to be.
Holly Jackson is collaborating with Poppy Cogan, the screenwriter from season one, to write the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Jackson previously expressed her excitement about continuing Pip’s story. The series, co-produced with the BBC, launched on Netflix in August 2024 and quickly became a global hit, reaching number one on Netflix’s English-language TV chart (according to Tudum).

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 2 will be released on Netflix in 2026.
