A developer has created a scary game featuring an anime girl who chases players through an old, deserted factory. She’s quickly becoming as popular – and terrifying – as Lady Dimitrescu from the Resident Evil series.
We quickly learned from fans of survival horror games that fear can manifest in many different ways. A great example is the huge reaction to Lady Dimitrescu, the tall vampire character from Capcom’s Resident Evil Village in 2021, who became a viral sensation – and for some, an object of affection!
Five years on, a new game aims to recreate that excitement by putting players in a desperate fight for survival, relentlessly pursued by a dangerous anime girl – a thrilling experience guaranteed to raise your adrenaline.
This creepy anime girl has big Lady D energy
In Shards of Solitude, you explore a deserted factory haunted by something strange. It’s not just the creepy atmosphere – a sad anime girl wanders the dark hallways, and she’s far more than just a ghost.
Miyuki’s character design doesn’t evoke the same intense fear as monsters from games like Alien: Isolation or Silent Hill f, but she’s still unsettling. As the clip shows, it’s easy to see why she wouldn’t be someone you’d enjoy spending time with.
She’s incredibly unpredictable – one moment she’s sweetly checking on you, the next she’s threatening to break your legs. It’s clear she hasn’t quite figured out how to have a normal conversation, and the videos suggest she genuinely means what she says, which is pretty unsettling.
I’m developing a horror game called “Shards of Solitude.” The monster will be a Yandere Jiangshi – it’s a really great idea, honestly!

According to the Steam page, Miyuki’s actions will change depending on what you do in-game, with certain actions triggering her more than others. So, you’ll constantly need to tiptoe around her personalities and avoid doing anything that might make her upset.
To make matters even more challenging, Miyuki is now using tactics similar to those of the Killers in Dead by Daylight – she’ll actively set traps and sabotage generators.
Anime girls are surprisingly versatile! When they’re not featured in dramatic, fast-paced scenes, they’re showing up in unexpected places – from decorating race cars and partnering with fishing brands to assisting police and even contributing to diplomacy.
