Okay, so this is awesome! They’re making real food and drinks based on Umamusume: Pretty Derby! Apparently, stuff you see in the game – snacks and drinks the horse girls enjoy – is actually going to be available in real life. As a fan, I’m totally gonna have to try it all!
FamilyMart, a popular convenience store chain in Japan, is launching a special promotion to mark the fifth anniversary of the game.
A popular new item is the “Hachimi Drink,” a honey and lemon beverage inspired by a drink featured in the popular game Umamusume.
The show depicts it as a fast way for characters to get energy, and the actual product is sold in packaging featuring different characters.
Umamusume gets new food collab
FamilyMart is releasing a special honey bread inspired by the world of the game! The “Tracen Academy Honey Bread” is a soft, honey-filled treat based on the bread sold at the training school, Tracen Academy, where the game’s horse girls live and train. It was particularly featured during story events with the character Tokai Teio.
The partnership features a special chocolate roll cake shaped like a log, inspired by the “Island Training” section of the game. In the game, characters go to a remote island to get better at racing. The cake itself has a chocolate chip cream filling and is covered in striped chocolate and coffee flavored sponge cake, all meant to look like a training log.

Completing the food selection are Manmaru-yaki, a creamy custard pastry with collectible packaging and stickers, and Umamusume potato chips, each bag containing a randomly included character card.
The special collaboration starts March 15th at FamilyMart locations in Japan. Most of the themed food items will be available starting March 17th, but only while supplies last.
Okay, so Umamusume fans are seriously dedicated! It’s not just a game for us, you know? We’ve actually had some amazing real-world stuff happen. Like, cosplayers took over a real racetrack in Peru, which was wild! And it’s not just fun and games – fans even restored the grave of one of the characters, Mejiro Ardan, in China. We even managed to raise over $600,000 to help rebuild some horse stables in Japan. It’s pretty incredible how much the game means to people.
