The reviews are in for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War.
The popular Jack Ryan character, originally created by Tom Clancy, has been portrayed by several actors over time. On the big screen, Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and Chris Pine have all played the role. More recently, John Krasinski, known from The Office, starred in the successful 4-season Prime Video series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. Now that the series has finished (in 2023), the story is continuing with a new movie, and fans are eager to see what comes next.
The new movie, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War, hasn’t been well-received by critics, earning only a 36% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 11 reviews. This makes it the lowest-rated film in the Jack Ryan series and the worst-performing entry directed by John Krasinski. In contrast, the Jack Ryan series on Prime Video has consistently received positive reviews, with an overall critics’ score of 80% and a 74% audience score across all four seasons. Even at its lowest point in season 2, the series maintained a respectable 70% critics’ score – significantly higher than the new movie.
