Look, I get it—Timothée Chalamet is a movie star, and he knows it. In a recent interview with Vogue, he pretty much said he’s done with television for good. It’s not that he’d never consider it, but unless Martin Scorsese asks him to be in a commercial, or he’s hosting Saturday Night Live, forget about it. The writer, Mattie Kahn, said he didn’t even bother with the usual ‘never say never’ line or talk about working with a specific director. He just smiled and shut down the conversation. He’s all in on film, and honestly, I respect that!
Like many actors, Timothée Chalamet began his career on television, with one of his earliest roles appearing in an episode of Law & Order in 2009. He also had smaller, repeating roles on shows like Royal Pains and Homeland. Despite his busy schedule, Chalamet enjoys watching TV. He recently admitted to binge-watching the series Too Much, starring Meg Stalter, which amused—and slightly annoyed—his sister, Pauline Chalamet. According to Chalamet, she insisted he watch the pilot of Lena Dunham’s Girls before fully appreciating Too Much, playfully teasing him about it. He joked that his sister’s reaction reminded him of a character from Girls.
