TikTok personality Gabbie Gonzalez was arrested after authorities say she attempted to hire someone to kill singer Jack Avery.
TMZ reports that Gonzalez will likely be charged with conspiracy to commit murder in Los Angeles County. Authorities claim she planned to kill the father of her seven-year-old daughter, Avery.
Avery is best known as a former member of the boy band Why Don’t We.
According to TMZ, Gonzalez was arrested last week at an airport in Humboldt County, California, just as she was about to get on a plane. She’s now being held in Los Angeles County jail and isn’t eligible for bail.

The TikToker’s father, Francisco Gonzalez, has also been arrested for his involvement in the suspected plan. According to TMZ, he was arrested in Florida on Monday and faces the same charge, but he hasn’t been brought to Los Angeles yet.
The claims apparently started because Gonzalez and Avery are fighting over custody of their daughter, Lavender.
TMZ reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated Francisco became part of an argument, and a witness reportedly told police he suggested it would be less expensive if Avery didn’t survive.

Officials say the scheme started in 2021 and included following and photographing Avery while he was in Hawaii. The goal was to collect evidence that could be used against him in their fight for custody of his children.
Authorities suspect Gonzalez and an associate tried to hire someone to intimidate Avery. During a phone call, a federal agent, pretending to be a hitman, reportedly spoke with Francisco, and details about payments and the intended target were allegedly discussed.
Avery had mentioned receiving warnings from the FBI about a potential attempt on his life. However, TMZ reports he wasn’t aware that Gonzalez was supposedly connected to it.
