A producer from The Simpsons has suggested that the classic game, Hit and Run, might make a return, following increased speculation about a possible revival.
For many players, The Simpsons: Hit and Run is a truly memorable game. It allowed you to explore Springfield and its surroundings while playing as beloved characters from the TV show, and featured a variety of missions to complete.
This game is often remembered as a golden standard, a high point in gaming history. Because of that, fans have been requesting a remake or a continuation of the story for years. Even actor Barry Keoghan has publicly shared his love for it.
One of the executive producers of The Simpsons recently shared news, suggesting something exciting could happen soon.
Simpsons Hit & Run comeback is “complicated” but “interesting”
Matt Selman, the showrunner and writer of Hit and Run, told People that revisiting the show would be “interesting,” but also “complicated.”
I find Hit & Run fascinating. I actually helped create it back when I was in my twenties, and I never imagined it would become such a beloved, almost legendary game. Considering all the Simpsons games we’ve made over the years, that one really stands out to me.
Things can always change, but regarding a potential return of Hit & Run, I’d say ‘never say never.’ We have a lot of fan support and people are clearly interested, which is a positive sign. As long as there’s demand, anything is possible.

Fans of the classic game are getting excited, as it looks like a revival might be happening. The studio that originally made The Simpsons Hit & Run recently announced they’re looking into updating some of their older games.
New Radical Entertainment describes their platform as more than just a website – it’s a trip down memory lane to the early days of creativity and teamwork. They’re excited to share this experience with everyone.
