Perp Games and Project Cloud Games have announced that The Relic: First Guardian will now launch in Summer 2026. Originally planned for May 26th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), this action RPG—inspired by Korean folklore and myths—will also be available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
The development team cites ‘more time to polish their world’ as the reason for the delay.
I just saw the news from Perp Games – they’ve released a new trailer! It’s called ‘The Heavenly Maiden Trailer’ and you can check it out along with their announcement right here.
Perp Games has announced that the release of their game, The Relic: First Guardian, is being delayed. It was originally planned for May 26th, 2026, but will now launch sometime this summer on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Rob Edwards, CEO of Perp Games, announced that the release of The Relic: First Guardian, the debut game from Project Cloud Games, will be delayed. The team wants to ensure the game is fully polished after years of development, so the release date is moving from May 26th to sometime in the summer of 2026.
Hey everyone, just wanted to share an update from the team at Perp Games and Project Cloud. They’re taking a little extra time to polish up The Relic: First Guardian and make sure it’s absolutely perfect for us fans. They really appreciate our patience, and they’re super excited to finally show us the game – and thankfully, it won’t be much longer now! I, for one, can’t wait!
Project Cloud Games’ new dark fantasy action RPG puts you in a world where you’ll recover lost memories and rebuild fragmented stories in a land consumed by corruption. Instead of endless leveling up, the game features a revamped, skill-based combat system that emphasizes timing and flow, creating a more personal and story-focused adventure.
Explore a sprawling, beautifully realized world inspired by Asian legends, where you’ll face over 70 challenging bosses on your quest for peace. Discover a wealth of individual stories and piece together the fragmented history of Arsiltus, shaping your own adventure and developing a combat style that’s truly your own.
Perp Games will share more updates soon.
