Tom DeLonge’s UFO documentary, The Age of Disclosure, recently had a special showing for lawmakers on Capitol Hill before its official release. According to the New York Times, the film, directed by Dan Farah, was screened in a committee room on Monday. The Age of Disclosure first premiered at SXSW and will be available in theaters and for streaming this Friday. The documentary features interviews with 34 current and former high-ranking officials from the government, military, and intelligence communities, all discussing what the filmmakers claim is an 80-year conspiracy to conceal evidence of extraterrestrial life – aliens, essentially. The film alleges a decades-long, worldwide cover-up of non-human intelligence and a secret competition between countries to replicate advanced technology potentially originating from these beings.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is featured in the documentary The Age of Disclosure, where he talks about unidentified flying objects repeatedly appearing over nuclear sites, stating they aren’t American and their origin is unknown. The film also includes interviews with former intelligence chief James Clapper and Senator Kristen Gillibrand. Director Farah believes it’s only a matter of time before a president publicly acknowledges the existence of extraterrestrial life, telling Entertainment Weekly he envisions a leader announcing to the world, “We’re not alone in the universe.” He calls this a potentially historic moment for any leader. However, given the recent increase in UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) disclosures, many people online don’t seem particularly surprised by the idea, as noted by NBC News.
