The popular Hallmark Channel series When Calls the Heart is confirmed for both its 13th and 14th seasons. Fans will be thrilled to see Lori Loughlin reprise her role as Abigail Stanton, returning after a hiatus since Season 6. Erin Krakow, who stars in the show, is particularly excited about the opportunity to work with Loughlin again and is looking forward to a special moment they will share on screen.
Okay, so I was thrilled to hear Lori Loughlin is coming back as Abigail on “When Calls the Heart” for Season 14! And it’s great to see how much everyone loves her. Pascale Krakow, who plays Elizabeth, even shared a really sweet message on Instagram welcoming Lori back. She recently told Us Weekly that she’s especially excited about the scenes they’ll get to film together, and also about how Abigail’s return will affect Elizabeth and Henry’s relationship. Honestly, it sounds like it’s going to be a really heartwarming season!
Honestly, I’m really looking forward to the emotional reunion between Elizabeth and Abigail – that first hug after all this time is going to be powerful. But I’m equally intrigued by the subtle connection between Henry Gowen and Abigail. There’s definitely something there, and I’m eager to see where that storyline goes. It’s a fascinating dynamic that I think will add a lot to the show.
Abigail and Elizabeth became fast friends when Elizabeth first arrived in Hope Valley, and their reunion promises to be a heartwarming moment. But that’s not the only joyful reconnection viewers can anticipate!
As Krakow pointed out, when Abigail and Henry finally reunite, it’s going to be a meaningful moment – and probably a very emotional one. Despite the difficulties in their relationship, it was always clear they shared a deep love and care for each other, feelings that are still present. We saw this in the Season 10 finale when Henry, while looking at Abigail’s Café and heading towards her door, mentioned her name, showing he was still thinking about her.
Details about Abigail’s return to Hope Valley are still scarce. She left to care for her mother, and although actress Lori Loughlin has appeared in the series When Hope Calls, it’s unclear how her return will be handled. Understandably, creator Brian Krakow isn’t revealing much about the new season, and it’s not because he’s unable to share information.
I have no information about that, as the season hasn’t been written yet. I simply don’t know anything about it at this point.
Since When Calls the Heart was recently renewed for Season 14 just last month, it’s not surprising that details haven’t been released yet. Production is planned to begin later this year, but no further information is available at this time. For now, fans are left to speculate about the new season and how Abigail’s return will unfold.
It will be interesting to see Lori Loughlin return to When Calls the Heart. She’s been gradually returning to acting since the 2019 college admissions scandal, and recently appeared in the short-lived series On Call. It’s unclear if she’ll be in more than six episodes of season 14, but new episodes of When Calls the Heart air Sundays at 8 p.m. Eastern on Hallmark.
