
A new version of the classic Western film, The Magnificent Seven, is coming to the streaming service MGM+. An Academy Award-nominated actor will star as the lead character in this eight-episode series, putting a fresh spin on a beloved story.
According to Variety, Matt Dillon will star as Chris Adams in the new MGM+ series based on The Magnificent Seven. He’s taking on the role originally made famous by Yul Brynner in the 1960 movie. Here’s what the character is like, according to the official description:
Chris is calm and composed, even when things get stressful. He doesn’t say much, letting his direct and unwavering look do the talking. He strongly dislikes dishonesty and unkindness, and lives by a personal set of principles focused on justice and self-control.
