YouTube recently banned a new channel created to honor Technoblade, featuring his father. The platform has since issued a statement about the ban.
Popular Minecraft creator Technoblade passed away in June 2022 after battling sarcoma, a cancer that develops in the body’s soft tissues like muscles, nerves, and joints.
His father, known as Technodad, shared the news with fans and pledged to continue creating videos to increase awareness of sarcoma and collect donations for research.
Over the past few years, he’s posted some videos on the Technoblade YouTube channel, often working with other Minecraft creators. Unfortunately, his newer channel, TeamTechnoblade—which includes his dad—has recently been taken down by YouTube.
TeamTechnoblade channel banned by YouTube
The channel launched on April 1st with just one video: an announcement from Technodad. He shared that he plans to use the channel to post his own videos, plus previously unreleased clips of Technoblade, fan art, and memes, according to viewers who’ve seen it.
As expected, our channel was banned – it was growing too quickly. We’re currently working with YouTube to resolve the issue and get things back to normal. Please be patient, everyone!
They explained on Reddit that they’ve appealed a decision, noting they recently had nearly 49,000 subscribers. They also expressed gratitude for the support and helpful feedback received in the comments.

YouTube responds to TeamTechnoblade channel ban
The account appealed to TeamYouTube, who responded by saying they were “checking on this” issue.
“This will likely be resolved between the next few days,” TeamTechnoblade added on Reddit.

TeamTechnoblade had already gained 50,000 subscribers before their account was removed, leading them to believe YouTube mistakenly identified it as a fake account run by bots, not a genuine user.
They also mentioned receiving reports of impersonation, even though Technoblade’s father is helping with the channel.
It’s unclear when things will be resolved and the channel will be back online. Based on what other YouTubers have experienced, restoring service isn’t always easy these days.
